Re-Use of Asphalt on the Highlightlevel

The Japan Road Contractors Association (here in after JRCA) has been participating in GAPA since its inception and has been working to find solutions by sharing Japan’s road policies, industry initiatives, and issues with participating organizations.

The strong point of Japanese pavement technology is recycled pavement technology. In addition, we are currently positioning JRCA warm mix asphalt as low-carbon asphalt mix and are promoting the spread of technology toward the realization of carbon neutral in 2050. This paper reports on the latest trends in Japan’s pavement recycling technology and efforts toward decarbonization, which were introduced at the 27th PIARC Prague WRC.
